SIGNING IN
The game knows you by your wallet's address. To sign in, your wallet signs a short sentence from our server. That proves the wallet is yours. It is not a transaction, and it costs nothing.
We never ask for an email address or a password. The only thing you type is your Scout's name.
A sign-in lasts 12 hours.
IN YOUR BROWSER
Your browser keeps a few small things for the game, in its own storage. None of it is your progress.
- Your wallet's address, and your sign-in while it lasts.
- A random id for this browser, made the first time you play.
- Your sound settings, how loud each sound is and whether the music is muted.
- When you buy or sell Oro or stake a Spirit in the game, that transaction's id and what it was for, until it settles. It is gone a day after that.
The store keeps one thing, whether its music is muted. This site's own pages keep nothing and run no scripts.
The game and the store set no cookies.
ON OUR SERVER
Your progress lives on our server, under your wallet's address. The game saves it as you play, every 15 seconds and when you close the page.
- Your Scout's name, and where you stand in the world.
- What you have recorded in your Atlas, the maps you have explored and the ground you have walked.
- Your journey so far, and what is in your backpack.
- The random id of the browser you play in, when you first played and when you were last seen.
- Any packs or game access we have given your wallet.
Our server also keeps a copy of public facts from the chain, such as which wallet holds which Scout or Spirit and what is staked. It shows those to anyone who asks by address, because the chain already does.
We do not keep your IP address with your record. To slow down abuse, our server looks at it for a moment and holds it only in memory.
The people who run SpiritMaster can see every Scout's saved progress. We can rename a Scout or delete its saved progress, and we can give a wallet packs or access to the game.
Nothing in our code sends your record to any other company.
LOGS AND BACKUPS
Our server keeps a short log of the requests it answers. For the game's files, that log holds your IP address and what your browser sends with each request. It is deleted after 7 days at most.
Sign-ins and saves are left out of that log. A second log, of the server's own work, can hold what each request asked for, and that can include your wallet's address. It never holds your IP address, and it is kept for 2 weeks at most.
Every night the saved progress of every Scout is copied into an encrypted backup. Our server keeps the last 7, and we keep up to 30 on our own computer, the only place the key that opens them is kept. No backup goes to any other company.
We can delete your Scout's saved progress from our server. Ask us on our Discord. Deleted progress leaves the backups as they age out, within 30 days.
ON THE CHAIN
Robinhood Chain is public. Your wallet's address, your purchases, your packs, Scouts, Eggs and Spirits, your stakes and your Oro purchases and sales are on it for anyone to see.
Nothing on the chain can be deleted, by us or by anyone.
Whether a wallet is on the store's allowlist is public too. Anyone can look it up by the wallet's address.
OTHER COMPANIES
These companies handle part of what you do here. Each one has its own privacy policy.
- Cloudflare runs our hosting and the network in front of our server. Everything you load from spiritmaster.io passes through it.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits to spiritmaster.io. Cloudflare adds its counting script to the pages it serves. This site's own pages allow no scripts, so it cannot run on them. In the store and in the game it runs.
- The game and the store read the chain through a service of ours on their own address, which passes each request to dRPC and nothing else about you. When that service cannot answer, your browser reads the chain from Tenderly's public gateway itself.
- Your wallet, MetaMask or another, is made by its own company, and it talks to Robinhood Chain for you.
- Discord and X, when you follow our links there.
BEFORE LAUNCH
While part of SpiritMaster is still closed, Cloudflare asks for your email address at its door. It sends a one-time code only to people we have added. That email goes to Cloudflare, and the sign-in stays in your browser for 30 days.
